This past weekend saw the most action on the NJ scene so far this season, with a majority of the Top Ten seeing action. There was a little bit of jockeying in the first couple of spots as Randolph picked up a couple of 1st place votes of of their successful debut at the Warwick (NY) Invite. The biggest jump of the week came from Tim Mooney’s Ridge squad which impressed with a powerful showing at the NJCTC Bernie Magee Class Meet @ Greystone. Ridge’s merged result from Saturday catapulted them from 8th to 5th in the rankings and included ranked then 6th ranked Rumson-Fair Haven among the teams they bested. Making their first appearance in the seasonal Top Ten this week is the North Hunterdon Lions. Always a team mentioned in the state’s elite ranks, Coach Sean Walsh’s squad parlayed a strong team performance, notably Eve Glasergreen’s sub 18 min. romp in the Senior Girls race into a 3rd place showing in the merged results. With the Shore Coaches Inv. coming up on Oct. 4th, some meets to watch this weekend will include among others, the venerable Passaic Co. Coaches Inv at Garret Mtn., the NJCTC Stewart Memorial @ Greystone, the always interesting 6 Flags Wild Safari Inv. at Great Adventure and a look at the NXN Regional venue with the Bowdoin Classic in Wappingers Fall NY. A lot of action leading up to the annual “Mid Term XC Exam” @ Holmdel on October 4th. Coming Up… WEEK 3 RANKINGS – BOYS

Voorhees is under Loved. Only 13 points behind Hillsboro at Thompson class race? They are real good at the top 2 and projected #4 did not run. They are a threat for Group 2 title
