2014 Skyland XC Championships – Video Recap

What The Big Guy had in Mind When He Created Cross Country

The Skyland Conference is always, outside of Groups and MOC, ,on the Girls side one of the most championship meets of the XC season. The 2014 edition was no exception. On a day made for Cross Country running, three of the ten best teams in the state and a fourth that is oh so close, went to the line and battled it out for the full 5000 Meters. In the end Ridge HS, who had lost a close one to Hillsborough a week ago, gained a measure of revenge with a scant one point victory (61-62) over the team who beat them at the Somerset County Championships, Hillsborough HS.

Tonight and tomorrow I will be posting video taken at today’s event, stating with excepts of the Varsity Girls Race (below). I will also be posting clips from the Girls JV Race as well as interviews with the Girls Champ, Stephanie Mauer of Hillsborough and Ridge Head Coach, Tim Mooney.

Come back and visit. It was a great day of racing
