NJ High School XC Rankings – Boys Week 9

CBA Singlet    ‘Nuff Said

The only thing that will keep Christian Brothers Academy (Lincroft) from a win on 11/22 will be if Tom Heath makes a wrong turn with the team bus on the way to Holmdel Park and gets the Colts lost on the back roads of Monmouth County. CBA has dispelled the rumors of their demise, which surfaced after their misfortune at The Manhattan Inv. in October, apparently righted the ship and are on course for another NJ State XC Championships and most likely a trip to that golf course outside of Portland OR. They are just that good. That is not to say that the rest of the Boys field is going to roll over for CBA in the next few weeks. There are some very, very good squads that will give the State Championship series, the excitement that it deserves.

The County/Conference segment of the 2014 season just ended and things are starting to sort themselves out as we head into Sectional action on Saturday. Let’s see what our panel of experts saw from last week’s results.

Wow!!! Then I guess Don Bosco, Cherry Hill East, Voorhees or anyone else should just pack it in, huh?
CBA is clearly the heavy favorite to win NJ this year and to move on to NXN Nationals but I’m sure you’re just trying to stir the pot here. They had a bad race at Easterns. Therefore it’s possible to have another and with at least those three teams having shown upfront strength and depth, the engraver should at least wait until the race to start filling the MOC winner 17 days from now. Or should we just stay home? 😉

Paul, my dear friend, Read the rest of the post.
No one is rolling over anywhere. Everyone has a bad race now and again (see DBP @ Manhattan) and no one should stay home on either the 15th or the 23rd.

OK, how about a Sectional pick or two where outcomes are still undecided.

North II, Group 3: Chatham over Summit. MoCounty champs are just now hitting their form.
